TURTLE PR WINS BEST NEW BUSINESS AT BRITISH YOUNG BUSINESS AWARDS
Boutique start-up agency accepts award from the Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP & Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills
Travel specialist Turtle PR last night (Monday 12 August) won the award for ‘Best New Business' (under 3 years), at the British Young Business Awards.
The prestigious ceremony was held at The Mayfair Hotel, and hosted by the Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP & Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, and Runner-Up in The Apprentice, Entrepreneur Luisa Zissman.
Leila Stocker, Turtle PR's Director, comments: "I am thrilled Turtle PR was initially nominated, and to win is truly amazing. This shows that sheer hard work and dedication do pay off."
The boutique agency beat five other new businesses to the award, including news-gathering app Summly and cab comparison site Kabee. Thousands of voters came from organiser IEG Global's network of young business owners, and members of The Princes Trust. Turtle's flexible and innovative approach, to creating fresh PR solutions for travel and lifestyle clients, helped win vital votes.
With 14 categories, nominees were initially selected by a judging panel that spent the first six months of 2013 researching, interviewing and compiling a list of top British entrepreneurs and Businesses, to make the final nominee list for the 2013 British Young Business Awards.
The BYBA nominations were announced on 1 July, by the Mayor of Camden, Councillor Jonathan Simpson at Proud Camden. The Mayor commented, "The British Young Business Awards are set to become a solid force for the entrepreneurial community and I am pleased to be part of this inspiring awards ceremony".
